Odyssey Space Research is looking in the Houston area for experienced and talented information technology (IT) specialists to help maintain a Linux environment, mainly supporting software developers and engineers working on cutting edge autonomous and human spaceflight projects. This specialist will focus on system configuration and deployment in an already established infrastructure for a small business with both routine operational needs and data-intensive computational requirements. Initially, the primary focus will be maturation of the virtualization infrastructure to support different projects with varying data and computational needs. Integrated with this goal, the provisioning system will need to be improved and hardened for automation of deployment of Linux servers/workstations/laptops. This will be followed by assisting in creating a similar workflow for Windows systems and configuration.
