The Chief Technology Office (CTO) provides solutions that guide technology across the firm globally, removing inefficiencies and streamlining how we deliver quality solutions. The Public Cloud group has a focus on hands-on technologists who can help our evolution towards automation and cloud. We're building next-gen capabilities, platforms and architectures that unlock new business value, automating how we take code from inception to production. We're focused on optimizing how apps are designed for the future, targeting solutions that are portable across multi-cloud platforms to stay resilient, scalable and maintainable.
As the firm continues to shift from traditional deployments and increase its use of cloud and containers, the tools and capabilities we use to deliver our systems continue to evolve. This role is critical in delivering systems and automations that support our use of private and public cloud, unlocking the services that support business capabilities, covering Kubernetes platforms, API's, tooling and wider services to ensure our systems are scalable, resilient, maintainable and secure from the start. We're working in partnership with technology teams across the lines of business to help evolve their platforms to take advantage of new services and capabilities.
As an experienced software engineer, your goal is to help work with teams to create next-level solutions to improve the way our business is run. Your deep knowledge of design, analytics, development, testing and application programming will help you guide teams to satisfy both business and functional requirements. Your expertise in a wide range of technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally. You'll also be able to adopt leading-edge technologies and methodologies while working with a network of technologists from around the world.
The role requires working with teams across the firm to help our technology organization continue its evolution, shaping the automations to streamline our adoption of cloud and container platforms. This involves developing and delivering integrations with emerging core platforms, services, and established and emerging offerings on Public Cloud Provider platforms. This includes Kubernetes, and hybrid-cloud tooling spanning the SDLC. Working across all lines of business, the successful candidate will create solutions that help technology groups align their strategies and continue their migration to multi-cloud platforms in a safe, secure and sustainable way.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Ability to design systems that are scalable, resilient, maintainable and secure from the start. Balance innovation against controls to maximize the delivery of business value.
Experience of public cloud platforms, including the challenges involved in securing data and unlocking capabilities
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals. Experience of prioritizing delivery goals to maximize benefit.
Skilled at managing stakeholder engagements. Understand how to balance immediate demand against the need to drive incremental capabilities more widely across the organization
Experience of strategic technologies in areas such as PaaS, containers, messaging, and database.
Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
Experience of shaping technology solutions, with a deep understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycles, with direct hands-on experience
