In this role, you will manage a team of engineers that is responsible for the design, development, and support of all services that compose FactSet’s Customer Identity and Access Management solution.  The IAM solution includes services that store customer identities, authenticate users and workloads, authorize requests, and propagate internal identity tokens between hundreds of microservices.  These core services are ubiquitous – used by all FactSet customers, applications, services, and engineers.  You’ll have a large impact on the success of the entire organization as we strive to aggressively expand our API program.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers building mission critical IAM services, including technical and architectural decision making


• Stay current with the security and IAM domains, and identify when to adopt technologies and best practices


• Identify the most important strategic projects and keep the team focused on them


• Own the product vision and manage the roadmap


• Collaborate with stakeholders to align objectives and timelines


• Work with AWS and on-premise systems to deploy Cloud services.


• Mentor your team members


• Perform resource planning and recruiting

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent experience required


• 5+ years’ experience programming in Java or another OOP language


• A passion for web security


• Extensive experience developing and supporting backend systems


• Experience operating in a Linux programming environment


• Willing to participate in an 24/7 oncall rotation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML


• PingFederate and custom extension develop


• Role-based access control systems in large distributed environment.


• Familiarity with AWS IAM


• LDAP Server Management (e.g. Active Directory, OpenLDAP)


• RESTful API Design


• A strong understanding of browser functionality (e.g. Cookies, CORS)


• Relational databases (e.g. MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
