The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
Austin Area Base Salary Range: 138,000-174,000 USD per year
As the Engineering Manager of Indeed Questions, you will be at the forefront of changing the way Indeed matches job seekers and jobs. Our re-envisioned product enables employers to screen applications to easily identify the most qualified candidates and allows candidates to specify and showcase their skills. We are collecting structured data about jobs and candidates that will feed into ranking, recommendation, and matching algorithms throughout the ecosystem. In this role, you'll help shape the future of the product and technology, be expected to set ambitious goals for your team, execute, and create a huge impact.

Experience managing a high-performing engineering team including the ability to coach developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
Significant prior success as a Software Engineer working on challenging problems
Experience with service-oriented architectures, APIs and A/B testing
An understanding of the value derived from shipping code rapidly to production and learning/iterating on the results.
Experience with full-stack application development is a plus
BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
