Duties: Perform software development on an application used for cross-asset risk and P&L reporting. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including testing. Optimize and debug existing software, tune database queries, and resolve complex data problems to meet changing business demands. Liaise with stakeholders in multiple trading businesses to ensure that the developed application meets key business objectives.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as Software/Application Developer or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following skills: Object-Oriented programming in Python; Python debugging; testing in Python; database schema design; database query tuning; Structured Query Language (SQL); temporal databases; distributed systems design; enterprise level grid computing; working within a Linux environment; and batch scheduling systems.
