As a member of our Software Engineering Group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Develop new solutions for JPM Prime Brokerage team to support transaction booking, transformation, validation and load into settlement systems. Understand an existing legacy system and drive solution to migrate into new Cloud based platform using latest technology and industry standards.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
* Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
* Understanding of architecture and design across all systems. Ability to develop micro-services architecture using variety of tools like Spring Boot, AOP, IOC, Spring MVC.
* Working proficiency with multiple operating systems Linux, Windows. Ability to automate working environment using scripting, deployment tools Maven and modern IDE ( IDEA ).
* Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices. Desire to advance and convert an existing legacy system into JPM Private Cloud.
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
* Passionate about building an innovative culture.
* Proficiency in Java 8 and Java 11. Proficiency in working with relational databases Oracle and DB2
* Strong experience and desire to be an example for the team for test driven development, Junit, understanding what it means to TEST code and deliver solution. Proficiency in using integration testing suites like Cucumber or similar.
* Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
