Responsibilities will include:
Support annuity product R&D with timely financial and risk analysis
Deep knowledge of annuity product design, pricing and hedging strategies for variable and indexed annuities
Partner with Insurance carriers to develop private label investment advisory solutions
Develop new and innovative products through the product development process, from ideation & focus group research, to business specification, platform specifications, development and roll out
Conducts competitive intelligence and analysis of the annuity industry with a focus on variable and index annuities
Effectively steer cross-functional resources in a collaborative way to meet business objectives
Serve as a product SME in support of Sales, marketing and our control partners
Manage carrier relationships and day to day business.
Serve as subject matter expert for investment specialists, planners and internal sales desk.
Qualifications:
Strong technical skills, including annuity financial statement and hedging knowledge
Ability to communicate complex concepts in an easy to understand fashion
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills - demonstrated ability to understand impacts of simple to complex concepts
5+ years of annuity pricing and product development preferably at a manufacturer strongly required, additional annuity distribution experience a plus
Ability to assist the head of annuity product development develop robust platform product requirements and negotiate desired product designs with our insurance carrier partners
Demonstrated high level of detail orientation and can manage multiple projects efficiently
Knowledge of distribution regulatory impacts to product design a plus
Experience in leading business transformation initiatives and/or project management skills a plus
MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint required
