The ideal candidate will be motivated and excited to take responsibility for large parts of our application as well as be a strong mentor for the rest of the software development team. They will be someone who has been successful in building scalable, maintainable and extensible software on a Java/JavaScript stack.

Our DevOps team is working on web-based applications, building new systems and supporting lines of business all while improving the stability, security and efficiency of our systems. 

What you’ll do:

• Analyze – Study current systems and requirements to help form our software development lifecycle and produce accurate estimates on new development.


• Design – Contribute to the design and architecture of our core platform.


• Build – Write the most complex and crucial parts of the system and help to build new features.


• Teach – Mentor and guide our junior team members. Help them avoid problems by harnessing previous experience.


• Improve – Provide input on our Agile processes and help the team to constantly get better.


• Contribute – Generate consistent development velocity via your skills and by helping the rest of the team find efficient paths forward.

Your day:

• Will vary between different components of our product, so this role requires technical flexibility and a desire to learn new skills quickly.


• Will work primarily with Java, JavaScript, Elasticsearch and MongoDB. Our platform runs on AWS with services like Elasticsearch, MongoDB Atlas, S3, Fargate, the API Gateway and others.


• Will show thought leadership by mentoring and assisting technical and non-technical staff members.
