Duties: Using knowledge of Design Patterns, System Architecture and Integration Patterns to devise high-quality technology solutions that address business needs for developing applications within mature technology environments. Utilize programming skills to adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code base including any required documentation. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the IT solution. Ensure that solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications, identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues, review and provide feedback to any required final user documentation. Utilize analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills develop, deploy and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment. Code the designed system using open-source Java-based frameworks and tools including Apache, Spring, Hibernate, Core Java, J2EE. Develop frontend for the application using Angular, Bootstrap, and manage the builds for the applications using Maven, NPM, Yarn, Gulp. Integrate with internal and external systems using SOAP web services, REST web services and IBM messaging. Follow various authentication authorization like SSO, Entitlements, IDAnywhere and session management. Configure AIM and Jules for new projects. Create and maintain deployment scripts for applications, along with various environment configuration in Gaia spaces. Deploy application to Webservers (Tomcat) and Cloud (Gaia). Debug and monitor application in UNIX environment. Track, maintain and build code using tools like GIT/BitBucket, MAVEN, JIRA and CI Tools. Use ORM, RDMS concepts to create, maintain and tune various Oracle database structures. Tune and profile database and deployed application using profiling tools like Dynatrace. Unit test the application using Junit and Powermock. Participate and follow project lifecycle using AGILE/SCRUM methodology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering (any), or related field.
Minimum experience required: 6 years of experience in application development, or related experience.
Skills required: Experience with Core Java and multithreading. Experience with Java Spring and Hibernate framework. Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Jquery. Experience with SQL Query, Procedure writing and tuning queries. Experience with Unix shell and scripting. Experience with Apache Tomcat. Application Support experience. Experience with requirement modeling including use cases, impact analysis, traceability analysis and business process modeling. Experience with tracking tools like ALM, JIRA, and Blueprint. Experience working on multiple projects in parallel.
