IMGs Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Game Audio, Siri, FaceTime, media capture, playback and APIs for third party developers to enrich our platforms. Within IMG, the Embedded Frameworks and Architecture group is looking for an Audio Firmware Engineer. This role will span a broad range of audio delivery and work with a broad range of teams, including hardware, software, algorithm and QA. While the role is focused primarily on audio accessories, a key component of Apples ecosystem, there will be opportunities to work in other parts of Apples ecosystem as well.

This position will have opportunities spanning all aspects of product development. For the early stages, the primary activities are collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to define new products, product features and requirements as well as crafting the system architecture to fit these needs. As those definitions crystallize, the focus shifts to development and optimization of embedded C/C++ code running on different architectures and supporting bring-up and debug of prototype hardware. Concurrently, working with internal and external teams to bring products to mass production ensures that customers receive what was intended.
