To be successful, you will need to have top notch coding skills, clear and concise communication and be able to drive and deliver multiple projects in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY

As a Full-stack Developer, you will report directly to Expertise.com's Engineering Manager (c-level at Expertise) and will be responsible for helping reengineer the main website and development workflow, along with integrating 3rd-party services and features. You will work cross functionally to support content, sales, and marketing teams. You will heavily involved in the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build high-performant, high-traffic websites using technologies like React, Next.js, and Node.js along with modern JavaScript development tools.
• Drive architectural and design decisions from a strong knowledge and history of utilizing headless, cloud-native, API-first technologies.
• Writing code in JavaScript, NodeJS and Python for managing the API and backend services in high-demand web environments. You'll be extending features from other cloud-based platforms like Salesforce and Twilio to feed data to content teams as well as the front-end website. 
• Provide leadership in build, deploy and continuous integration practices with an emphasis on backend technologies and code contribution.
• Demonstrate you are a real problem solver that enjoys solving very complex issues.
• Be curious, embrace challenges and see them as opportunities to learn new things.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 4+ years of professional full stack web development experience, working across the stack (front-end, back-end, UI).
• Proficient RESTful services developer with API development experience with WordPress.
• Proficient in web and CDN technologies with extensive knowledge of systems performance and analysis as well as provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Experience and technical knowledge of app development, APIs, and content delivery.
• Strong understanding of different API standards (SOAP, REST, etc.) 
• Ability to write queries and develop data structures in a relational database 
• Experience iterating on a system that is constantly serving traffic. Our system is always on.
• Solid understanding of how modern web technologies work.
• Strength in static build systems like Gatsby, Hugo, Next.js, or front-end build tools like Webpack, Gulp, Grunt, etc.
• Familiarity or actual experience with the JAMstack.
• Experience with Headless/Decoupled CMSs like Contentful, Forestry.io, DatoCMS, or strapi.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience in PHP, MySQL, Postgres, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
• Experience dev, API Key Validation, Authentication, Authorization, and Identity
• Experience merging multiple datasets into one sequenced, coherent database.
• Experience with data interchange formats (JSON, XML, etc) 
• Experience with AWS, AWS Lambda, AWS ec2, RDS, Firebase
