As a senior leader in Project Execution, you'll lead high-performing teams in envisioning and creating complex technology risk solutions across the firm. This prominent position combines strategic thinking - about industry trends, firm-specific initiatives and relevant technology - with a deep understanding for how to develop and implement programs that can be rolled out globally, and across multiple lines of business. You'll work closely with executive leadership across the firm to identify and prioritize projects that serve the best interest of the entire firm. Meanwhile, you'll have a comprehensive understanding of the overall Technology risk and control environment and instill appropriate governance to manage and proactively identify issues and changes in the risk profile of the underlying systems. The role will support the Application Development Managers and application aligned technology resources to ensure appropriate controls are implemented for existing systems, new application development and on-going enhancements. Drive a risk mitigating culture within the Technology organization aligned to proactively identify, assess and manage inherent risks within our platforms and services.
Promote innovation within the technology control environment driving control optimization, process efficiency and improve client experience.
Strengthen the technology control environment through education collaboration and oversight.
Drive effective risk mitigating controls designed, deployed and monitored by the application owners, developers, support teams, central teams and corporate teams.
Develop an integrated technology control framework maintaining the appropriate balance between risk mitigation, product growth and financial returns.
Collaborate with Audit, Risk Management, Business Control Functions and Technology to drive transparent, measurable and sustainable control improvements.
Partner closely with business and technology stakeholders providing clear direction and guidance to manage risks, optimize returns and enhance client experience.
Proactively work with technology and product managers to identify potential issues and ensure effective remediation plans are in place
Provide leadership and advise on material remediation activities ensuring appropriate resolution of issues.
Actively engage in risk assessments and control substantiation.
Collaborate with Application development teams on internal audits and regulatory assessments.
Support the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process ensuring issues and related action plans are timely documented, assigned and resolved.
Drive technology control education agenda, lead forums across multiple applications within the CTS Payments Organization.
Ensure escalation of material issues to senior technology management
Audit & Exam Engagement
Provide overall governance of the Readiness and Issue Validation process for internal and external audits and exams with regulators
Drive education, promote collaboration, and provide execution oversight across the application aligned, process owner, and TCO teams
Maintain repository containing schedule, readiness artifacts, content development for discussions and issue closure documentation, and root cause analysis details.
Develop strategy, approach and leadership for discussions with Regulators in preparation for exams.
Produce metrics and reporting, including audit/ exam roadmap, findings, and results of root cause analysis
Understand the outcomes of previous assessments
Understand the status of open Issues/Actions, including verifying closed Actions truly addressed gaps
Creation of actions to address any newly identified issues
Lead audit readiness exercise in preparation for an audit or exam, track issues, remediation plans and appropriate self-disclosures for findings
Conduct tests of all possible scenarios/functions of the process using the Software Development Lifecycle tools
Confirm completion of a key controls review
Set up rules of engagement and response timelines to be applied during the lifecycle of the Audit or Exam.
Timely agreement, entry and action of any identified findings or requests with agreed language on sustainable control approach
Document Lessons Learned through review of audit and exam findings
Updated audit and exam readiness guidelines, and teams on lessons learned from previous audits
Continue to enhance our key tooling to move us to a more automate, continuous monitoring / improvement environment
Ensure all previous issues/actions are addressed on time
Regulatory Compliance Programs
Policy and Procedure mapping to new regulators and promote policy, procedure and standards changes to support requirements
Execute on-going annual compliance assessment and evidence gathering for required compliance programs
Develop action plans with sustainable approaches to control gaps identified as part of assessments and monitor remediation efforts to closure
