Duties: : Provide API design and architecture solution and develop API proxies following API Standards such as semantics around URI, design, versioning practices, monitoring practices and data management standard. Implement API security using OAtuh 2.0 industry standard either a 2-legged or 3-legged OAuth. Mentor the API developers to design of API Gateway configuration. Review detailed designs to ensure appropriate security, scalability, reliability, end user experience, business reports and analytics. Develop proof of concepts and perform code reviews of the APIs. Enhance the API test tools and ensure that solutions conform to strategic architectures. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure correct setup of servers, load balancers, and firewalls, and monitor across the board. Assist the project team with any technical issues related to API design, performance, and API Gateways. Work with external partners to integrate with APIs.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Computer Programmer Analyst, Associate- Projects, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept Master's degree plus three (3) years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with each of the following skills: leading hands-on development for teams of at least 5-10 developers; Spring Framework components including Tomcat, JSON, node.js, and REST services; API design and API management; API Gateway solutions (APIGEE or API Connect); delivering applications through the entire SDLC process; Quality Assurance (QA) testing and Performance testing; working with infrastructure teams to set up servers, load balancers, and firewalls; monitoring tools; production support; OWASP, SAML, OAuth, SSL and other security tools, technologies, and guidelines; and enterprise architectures and enterprise integration tools and methodologies.Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
