We are looking to hire a software engineer to work on Public Finance trading application stack. Our technology team is responsible for delivering pre-trade Analytics, pricing & structuring, execution and post trade function supporting Municipal business. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and support mission critical enterprise applications using sound object oriented analysis and design principles.

Proactively seek technical improvements and take the initiative to communicate / implement quality solutions

Coordinate application server framework and batch jobs setup with developers and system/infrastructure teams

Streamline development and release management processes.

Keep abreast of current developments and trends in area of expertise

Participate and represent area in cross-functional groups with senior stakeholders
Qualifications
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

knowledge of application, data and architecture disciplines

Working proficiency in developmental toolsets

Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices

Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture

Excellent core understanding and programming experience in Java

Hands-on experience working with SQL (database technologies like Oracle)

Unix / Perl / Python scripting desired

HTML 5 development desired; e.g. Angular, React JS or other JavaScript frameworks

Experience in configuring web application servers for application development , testing

Experience in optimizing/profiling, multithreading, and tuning

Test driven development

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
