DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Serve as a web developer responsible for participating in medium to large scale technology projects focused on delivering the best experience for our clients. Serve as part of a dynamic technology team that builds and deploys solutions for the JP Morgan Private Bank across the globe, interact with product owners, application developers, and business users at all levels of the organization. Responsible for all aspects of business logic and delivery to the presentation layer development-including all project related middle tier technologies. Utilize mastery of web services coding concepts and paradigms as well as the ability/desire to quickly learn new technologies and implement them into production ready deliverables. Responsible for executing clean and progressively enhanced code for complex designs that reflect the architectural direction provided within the established technical framework. Willing to take the initiative to research and learn emerging technologies that may improve the quality, success, and performance of deliverables. Participate in project scoping and planning, write detailed level technical and functional specifications documentation, and help mentor junior engineers. Work with team members within technology and other disciplines (creative, delivery management, etc.) on large projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field plus two (2) years of experience in application development, or related experience OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field plus five (5) years of experience in application development, or related experience.
Skills required:Experience with Java / J2EE. Experience with micro services patterns. Experience developing Restful and SOAP Webservices. Experience with Unix. Experience with Tomcat and Apache. Experience with Websphere. Experience with Spring Framework. Experience with Sybase and Oracle. Experience with PL/SQL. Experience with test driven development (TDD) and Agile Methodology. Experience with Angular-JS, JQuery, JavaScript, and HTML. Experience with Continuous Integration Tools including Jenkins. Experience with Source Code Management Tool BitBucket. Experience with application monitoring tool DynaTrace. Knowledge of BigData technologies. Experience with Object Relational Mapping JPA. Experience with UML and ER modelling.
