Duties: Own the SEAL (Standards, Engineering and Architecture Library) for reporting and analytics of global merchants for JPMC. Develop new application features using Java, Actuate, database (Oracle), reporting technologies and software to enable JPMC merchants to receive business critical reports and analytics. Develop new Java based APIs and microservices to enable direct and real-time data access for JPMC clients and merchants to payments processing related data. Create new custom reports in Web (HTML) and DFR (delimited file report) formats by developing new stored procedures and Queries (PL/SQL) in Actuate to provide credit and debit card transactional data to JPMC clients. Enhance JPMC Payment Tech Online (PTO) by developing new Java/HTML/CSS based features to improve digital experience (UI/UX) for online users (clients and relationship managers). Payment Tech Online (PTO) is a proprietary online web (HTML/CSS/Java) based platform that JPMC clients use to access online reports, analytics, banking transactions and other payment processing related information. Create and review architectural designs (HLDs), provide recommendations, and incorporate security requirements and solutions to enable real-time payment analytics and processing. Sustain and support current application operations by maintaining production stability, continuous monitoring of live servers (Unix), reviewing logs and testing (QA) functionality in production/UAT environments. Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop/enhance software application modules. Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development, and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Analyze new business requirements, provide technology solutions and expertise on building new applications and features pertaining to payment processing, payment brand networks (AMEX, VISA, and MC) within mature technology environments. Adhere to Agile/SAF-e Software development practices while utilizing existing frameworks in JEE, SQL, and PL/SQL to build new applications/features and adhering to the coding standards, procedures and techniques.
Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum experience required: 6 years of software development, design, and analysis experience, or related experience.
Skills Required: Must have Database programming experience in Oracle, Stored Procedures, and SQL. Must have Java/J2EE application development experience. Must have demonstrated knowledge of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). Must have demonstrated knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting. Must have software architecture and designing experience. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Business Intelligence and analytics. Must have digital experience with UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience). Must have demonstrated knowledge of Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies. Must have demonstrated knowledge of HTML/CSS/XML/SOAP based Web technologies. Must have demonstrated knowledge of payment processing and financial domain. Must have Quality Assurance and testing experience.
