The Home Lending Product and Innovation Team is responsible for designing, analyzing and/or participating in impactful initiatives for the Consumer and Correspondent originations channels and Home Lending Servicing portfolios. At a high level our team:
* Provides strategic vision, product development, and process innovation with the goal of building a transformational lending experience for Chase Home Lending customers
* Examines solutions across the market to improve customer experience
* Influences industry on both origination and servicing related strategies
* Develops and partners with channel leads to create originations strategies and offer new/enhanced programs and product offerings to our customers
* Analyzes the servicing portfolio for opportunities on delinquent and non-performing customers and develops strategies to manage them
* Researches and develops servicing products to support customers and advise them of how to achieve their goals to grow their wealth and improve home ownership
* Influences product positioning and marketing content and owns published Product Guides
* Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for implementation of Consumer and Correspondent changes and in Correspondent channel participates in point-of-sale testing
This role is responsible for creating Home Lending products and guidelines solutions that bring value to the organization and our customers throughout their lifecycle (originations and servicing). You will participate in the development of the product strategy, including providing economic and financial analysis, and managing relationships with Capital Markets and Finance to achieve the goals of home lending leadership
This position requires you to work in the office; however, during the COVID-19 pandemic, you may work from home.
Responsible for conducting Product Research and Development, including evaluating new product structures to meet evolving customer needs.
Partner with Credit Risk, Finance, Capital Markets, Agency Relations, and other key stakeholders to evaluate new concepts and proposals
Conduct Economic and Financial Analysis to develop strategic frameworks and plans to achieve the goals of home lending leadership
Ability to understand and recognize the need for product improvements needed to create and maintain a competitive offering
Develop proposals, fully vet with partners while considering different points of view and taking constructive feedback, and present at senior level meetings to gain buy-in and approvals
Determine any operational, legal, compliance, pricing, delivery or other risks that must be addressed and interface with the necessary parties to ensure acceptable solutions
Understands interdependencies between multiple variables and must consider tradeoffs and impact of decisions
Manage a team of 2-3 direct reports, as well as, other team members assisting with various projects
10+ years of experience in mortgage banking; subject matter expertise in finance or products strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Excellent analytical skills - proficiency in Excel required
Proven people leader with demonstrated ability to set clear goals, delegate and efficiently organize resources and workstreams
Excellent verbal communication skills, frequent communication with senior leadership is required
Excellent written presentation skills for producing executive level presentation material
Conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to drive risk and control agenda
Awareness of industry and competitors and impact of both on business
