Duties: Design and construct relational databases to implement new capabilities and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. Integrate new systems with existing structures and refine system performance and functionality. Collaborate with ETL team members on database design and optimization. Monitor and tune data queries and data loads, address user questions concerning data integrity, evaluate database performance, and communicate functional and technical issues. Design and develop suitable solution designs. Execute unit testing and participate in the quality assurance and user acceptance testing phases. Work with project teams to ensure technical quality of deliverables and adherence to the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and architectural standards. Identify and execute actions to decommission legacy hardware and achieve cost savings. Design, develop, test, implement, and support Cloud-based application components in a Microservices architecture. Assess the feasibility and efficacy of different technical approaches and design patterns that may be used in application frameworks and systems. Innovate and accelerate strategic global solutions, including contributions to microservice, cloud, and API development.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as ETL Programmer, Technical Staff, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree plus three (3) years of experience.
